They witnessed the marriage of Mary C. because she was only 16 years old. They came to America on their honeymoon. Grandmother told wild tales about the difficult crossing - drifting in the Belt of the Calms, etc. These stories from my half brothers - She died years before I was born." (From Nita Wilson Hinton's aunt, Mollie (Lee) Wilson Drain). She was born in 1802 at Ireland; per marriage at 16, she was born in 1802; per 1820 census, she was born in 1804; per 1850 census, she was born 1802. She married Hugh Wilson Jr., son of Hugh Wilson and Mary Chambers, in 1818 at Anahilt, County of Down, Ireland; came to America on their honeymoon; marriage was witnessed by Andrew Garrett (her aunt's husband) and Andrew Wilson, the eldest of sons. They witnessed the marriage of Mary C. because she was only 16 years old.
