She enjoyed several civic organizations, including Eastern Star, Gulf Gate AARP, Gulfgate Grandmothers Club and the Mason Park Craft Group. Her devoted friend for many years was Ellouise Fowler.

     Helen Marie Peterson was born on 25-Jun-1915 at Fargo, Cass County, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Hoffman Peterson and Marie Emilie Lønberg. Helen Marie Peterson married an unknown person on 6-Nov-1935 at Houston, Texas. She died on 27-Dec-2007 at Pearland, Texas, at age 92. He will leave on Saturday for Madison, en route to Fargo, N.D., and he expects to be at home with his family in California by Thanksgiving. Hoffman Peterson's home is at Houston, Tex., where he has been engaged in farming for several years. Both visitors attended the fifth ward school here before attending the University of Chicago."
