     Elisha Ward was born on 12-Jan-1686. He was killed or taken captive by Indians near Worcester, Mass, while riding "post" from Marlborough to Hadley. His mother, by her will, dated 1714, gave legacies to her children and provided that "If Elisha shall ever come again" he also should share. He did not return. in Aug-1700.
