Charles Vincent Cooper was born on 10-Feb-1871. He married Charlotte Elliott on 6-Jan-1897. Charles Vincent Cooper died on 8-Jan-1949 at Windsor, Missouri, at age 77 at daughter, Minnie Reneau's home. He was buried at Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, Missouri. He , my great-grandfather, died when I was only 4. I do remember him coming n his horse quite often during the winter and sitting behind the old pot bellied stove in the kitchen, chair kicked back against the wall and feet extended toward the stove to get the warm after his ride to our house. When he came to visit, he always had something in his pocket for me and my brother, Gary. It might be a rabbit's foot or an orange or maybe a piece of hard candy, but always something. I really wish that he would have lived longer so I could have really known him. My mother said he was the grandest fellow on earth. That was quite a compliment from her. I understand now that my Grandfather lived on the so called Uncle Will's place and we lived in the original Franklin Cooper house. The distance between was probably a couple of miles cross country, a little further if you took the road. Myrna Cooper Shirey.
