     William Henry Byars was born on 3-Oct-1802 at Rutherford County, North Carolina. He was the son of Stripling Byars and Elizabeth Blair. William Henry Byars married Elizabeth Jane Goode, daughter of Robert Goode and Martha Hawkins, on 23-Mar-1824 at Jefferson County, Alabama. William Henry Byars died on 5-Oct-1887 at Terryville, DeWitt County, Texas, at age 85. He was buried at Old Terryville Cemetery, DeWitt County, Texas.
