     Per Kraig Rice's interview with Truman C. Rice: Eugene & Dora Rice had a trunk in the attic of their old house filled with family records, old letters, and information of all kinds concerning the family tree. Then they built a new house next to their old house. They had to transfer everything from the old to the new house. They put the trunk on a bonfire they had going to burn up trash. That was an immeasurable loss. He served during World War I serial # 1832801; served on the U.S.S. Georgia. He was an electrician.
