     Josephine Aft was born in 1845. She married John Edward Cooper, son of Matthew Cooper and Elizabeth Jane Frierson, in 1878. Josephine Cooper died after 1881.

     Sylvanus Amos married Missouri A. Cooper, daughter of John Edward Cooper and Sarah "Sally" Marshall. Sylvanus Amos was born in 1845 at Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

     Albert W. Darst was born in 1845.

     Joseph Mastin Woodall was born in 1845.

     Mary Ellen Woodall was born in 1845.

     Mariah D. Hill was born in 1845 at Massachusetts.

     Malinda Leffler was born on Jan 25, 1845 at Indiana. She married Leroy Justice Nott, son of Thomas Nott and Luceba Cardine Witham, in 1861 at Hardin County, Iowa. Malinda Leffler died on Feb 22, 1935 at Webster City, Iowa, at age 90.

     Eliza Jane Lewis was born in Apr, 1845 at Alabama. She married James Monroe Hodges, son of James Hodges and Charity (?), on Feb 27, 1862 at Butler County, Alabama.
     The 1860 Federal Census enumerated her as head of household in 1860 Red Level P O, Covington County, Alabama; living with James Monroe Hodges brother, Alfred Hodges and family. The 1910 Federal Census enumerated her as head of household in 1910 Galveston County, Texas; living with daughter Charity Ellen Hodges Pate.

     Elisa Ann Autrey was born on May 5, 1845. She died on May 8, 1859 at age 14.

     Adalissa Tindall was born on May 11, 1845 at Spartanburg County, South Carolina. She married James D. Cooper, son of John Edward Cooper and Sarah "Sally" Marshall, on Jul 9, 1865 at Spartanburg County, South Carolina. Adalissa Tindall died after 1919 at Cherokee County, South Carolina.

     Christian Schulz was born on May 12, 1845 at Gulitz, Brandenberg, Germany. He married Friederika Monke on Dec 11, 1873 at New Hoherfier, Germany; lived in Shiner, Hocheim and Yoakum, Texas areas. Christian Schulz was buried on Feb 23, 1920 at Yoakum, Texas. He died on Feb 23, 1920 at Normangee, Texas, at age 74.

     John Cornelius Hefner was born on May 16, 1845 at Mississippi.
     He served during Civil War on Jan 18, 1862 enlisted Jan 18, 1862 - Vaiden, Carroll County, Mississippi - 1st Mississippi Light Artillery, Company L, Rank - Pvt. July 4, 1863 - captured at Vicksburg, Mississippi, August 5-8, 1864 - sick in Ross Hospital, Mobile, Alabama, Sept 28-Oct 6, 1864, in General Hospital; Roll of Prisoner of War paper shows him paroled at Meridian, Mississippi on May 10, 1865. He served on May 10, 1865 paroled
Note from Malcolm Hunter: I noticed that in your work on Sarah Cooper that you have that her grandson, John C. Hefner, died on October 6, 1864. I went back and looked at his CSA Records that we have, and on that date, he was sent to the General Hospital. He was admitted September 28, 1864. The latest thing that we have on him is a "Roll of Prisoner of War" paper. It gives that John C. Heifner of Choctaw County, Mississippi, was paroled at Meridian, Mississippi, on May 10, 1865.
After this, he just dissappeared.

     Isabella Angelina McCray was born on Jan 11, 1846 at Chatanooga, Hamilton County, Tennessee. She married Daniel Cooper, son of David Lee Cooper and Elizabeth Orr, on Oct 10, 1869 at Windsor, Johnson County, Missouri. Isabella Angelina McCray died on Dec 22, 1926 at Johnson County, Missouri, at age 80.

     Jemima Ann Nott was born in Mar, 1846.

     Nancy Maranda Byars was born on Apr 29, 1846 at Chickasaw County, Mississippi. She married Andrew Jackson Neal, son of Samuel M. Neal and Eliza Hollan, on Jan 20, 1866. Nancy Maranda Neal died on Mar 4, 1869 at DeWitt County, Texas, at age 22 and was buried at Old Terryville Cemetery.

     Serralda Cooper was born on May 25, 1846 at Indiana. She died on Nov 18, 1848 at Indiana at age 2.

     James Wilt was born on Jun 1, 1846 at Ward Township, Athens County, Ohio. He married Mary Frances Witham, daughter of Nathan Rice Witham and Caroline Ellis, on Feb 15, 1872 at New Straitsville, Perry County, Ohio. James Wilt died on Aug 1, 1928 at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, at age 82.

     Saphronia Caladonia Fatheree was born on Jun 30, 1846 at Bienville, Jackson Parish, Louisiana. She married Joseph J (P) Byars, son of William Henry Byars and Elizabeth Jane Goode, on Nov 25, 1865 at Terryville, DeWitt County, Texas. Saphronia Caladonia Byars died on May 25, 1913 at age 66 and was buried at Hebron Cemetery.

     William Depriest Hodges was born in Jul, 1846.

     Sarah Jane Williams was born on Jul 20, 1846 at Alabama. She married William Patton McCord on Nov 17, 1863. Sarah Jane Williams died on Jul 25, 1927 at San Antonio, Texas, at age 81.

     Sarah Kincead Cheadle was born on Sep 14, 1846 at Washington County, Ohio.

     Asa Samuel Rice was born on Sep 17, 1846 at DeWitt County, Texas. He married Mary Jane Bradley, daughter of Charles H. Bradley and Elizabeth Clare, on Jan 26, 1869 at DeWitt County, Texas. Asa Samuel Rice died on Jul 22, 1921 at Yoakum, Lavaca County, Texas, at age 74 died of acute intestinal obstruction; informant was daughter, Miss Fannie Rice and was buried at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Yoakum, Texas.
     DNA tests confirm Asa Samuel Rice is great grandfather of James Loyd Fatheree Jr. Jim's DNA also confirmed kindship with Joseph Austin Newman and Elizabeth Baker's children. This concludes that Joseph Austin Newman was father of Asa Samuel Rice. He served during Civil War and was a private in Mann's Regiment, Texas Calvary (Bradford's), Co. A. He served on Aug 3, 1867 swore allegiance by Oath to The United States of America and that he had resided in DeWitt County for 21 years. He was listed on the tax rolls of Aug 3, 1867 a farmer and stockraiser in DeWitt County, Texas. The 1870 Federal Census enumerated him as head of household on Aug 1, 1870 DeWitt County, Texas; head, 24/m/w, farmer, personal estate value 300, born Texas, Mary J., 21/f/w, born Texas, Mary E., 9/12(Oct)/f/w, born Texas. The 1880 Federal Census enumerated him as head of household on Jun 1, 1880 DeWitt County, Texas; age 33, wife Meary J, age 31; children Mary E, 10; Ann Elizabeth, 9; Oliver James, 7; Hermana Magdeline, 4; Edward Lee, 2. He was listed on the tax rolls of 1885 as having 250 acres, 1 carriage, 4 horses, 80 mules, 16 cattle, for a total value of $996. in DeWitt County, Texas. The 1900 Federal Census enumerated him as head of household on Jun 7, 1900 Stratton, DeWitt County, Texas; head/w/m/Sept/1846/53/married 31 years, born Texas, father born England, mother born Texas, farmer, home owned. He swore on an Affidavit dated July 2, 1921, that he was 74 years old, a nephew of Wm. W. Rice and part heir to his uncle's property. He left a will which read:; probate of will by Molly J. Rice; to my wife with remainder thereof, on her decease, to our children as follows: to granddaughter Alma McCaslan, daughter of our son Oliver J. Rice, deceased, the sum of $500.00; the remainder of the estate to be paid to my children Ellen Layton, Maggie Bowen, Eddie Rice, Claude Rice, Fannie Rice and Ira Rice, share and share alike.

     Amanda Goodson was born on Oct 11, 1846 at Louisiana. She married William Jack Hodges on Feb 22, 1866 at DeWitt County, Texas. Amanda Hodges died on Feb 10, 1869 at Terryville, DeWitt County, Texas, at age 22 and was buried at Terryville Cemetery.
